Born in 1955 in La Serena, Chile, he lives and works in Santiago de Chile. He studied art at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile one year, and then switch to graphic and advertising designer at the University of Chile. He worked in advertising, primarily at BBDO where he had a successful career for 20 years. At his 50th he migrated to photography and now he returns to his first passion: drawing. His art is spontaneous and prolific, each drawing being the result of a non-scripted process that comes straight from his mind. His work evokes classic ink drawing, inspired by plates of old encyclopedic texts from his childhood. His ink mix archetypal forms, nature, contemporary elements and feelings, creating images intended to trigger a nostalgic feeling.
