About The Artwork
There are moments while drawing, when I can see landscapes within everyday´s life objects. This drawing is the portrait of a sofa and a curtain but it becomes much more than that. It becomes an own specific landscape where the image detaches from the reality. Through the lines, the curves, the movement of the pencil, I loose the real object and go beyond the portray. I love silent landscapes. This is one of them. The color is dark green, light green, and various tones of white. In the photo unfortunately it looks more black and white. I can of course send some more details per email.

Valentina Ferrarese is a visual artist from Venice (Italy) living and working in Berlin (Germany). She studied painting and art history at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, as well as visual arts and curatorial practice at the Venice University of Architecture and the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. In 2008 she completed a Master's Program of the Arts at the University of Berlin. Since then she has worked as an artist and project curator in collaboration with art and social institutions, as well as an art historian and educator for various museums in Berlin and its surroundings.
