This work is an early product of my exploration of the integration of fine line drawing - wire drawing - and cast glass. The glass is a slab of cast glass, stained then laminated to a stained-glass-like drawing of a standing nude. I'm delighted with the subtlety of the work, a foot-high free-standing sculpture, enigmatic and appealing: keep an eye open for new work created using this unique, sensitive, methodology!

Tony Roberts was born in Kent in 1946. His professional career as an artist started early, working with pen and brush as a young monk. Now, in retirement and long out of monastic life, his artistic practice has greatly expanded, including glass sculptures and canvas works in private and public collections worldwide, mostly to commission. Much of his current work involves multiple disciplines and media in each single work.
