About The Artwork

This marker rendering is of a 1940 race car more popularly known as Sawin Ford Big Car. It is an extremely rare racer built by coach builder Sawin which had a simple architecture and was economical to run. They are called "big cars' because Sawin was known for their midget racers and this was one of the few big sized cars to be built during the period. I have named my artwork 'The Big Red Racer' after the nickname the car earned during the period. In this artwork, I have tried to capture the highly detailed reflections on the car body, which was very challenging and time consuming to complete.
