About The Artwork
As a young artist, I drew animated characters on paper until I discovered felting with wool. It has become my primary passion. I chose to create a series of mermaids on the beach since I live and work near the beach. My art is made for kids and those young at heart.

Connie Lee is a mixed media artist living in Long Beach. She travels throughout Los Angeles teaching workshops and showing her felted sculptures. Her work incorporates needle and wet felted wool. Her subject matter is inspired by nature and animation: birds, flowers and caricatures are her favorite forms. With a background as a graphic designer and Illustrator, and after 20+ years of designing, she discovered needle felting has become her primary passion.
