About The Artwork

Custom installations start at $1,500+shipping and depend on the size. The installation on the right is $5,999 in 2019. Can be shipped in boxes. CONTACT Saatchi and let's talk about your space! MORE INFO: I originated a shape-combining, "constellation" style of wall art installation in 2010, where round artwork of small, medium and large sizes are hung together to make elegant patterns. My experiments with creating round artwork in 2006 led to developing my style and my first signature-style installation was exhibited in 2012. Many viewers comment that my organic installations remind them of a constellation. As my work evolved, I began incorporating other shapes such as rectangles and squares, as well. I create different imagery on the canvases in a series and vary my imagery on the installed canvases accordingly. The pattern of canvases can suggest a sequence in time, a larger context or a feeling. I've worked for over a decade to develop my style of installation artwork and to find spaces that were large enough to exhibit my vision. I was inspired to experiment with round artwork by the wonderful late artist Diane Hause when she invited artists to exhibit work mounted on recycled compact disks at 3Ten Gallery Atlanta back in 2006. This led to developing my current style of work by 2010 and it took me until 2012 to find space to exhibit large work. My installations have been exhibited in Atlanta at UrbanFronts (2013), Southwest Arts Center (2015), the Decatur Arts Alliance (2017), and the Aviation Community Cultural Center (2018) and in Austin at Real Gallery (2012). Commissions are accepted.

www.studiolejeune.com My FLIGHT SERIES is mixed media work, combining new media with traditional fine art techniques on canvas. The series offers a modern interpretation of birds and other creatures that overcome gravity through flight. I began experimenting with round artwork in 2006. This led to the development of my signature style of wall art installation by 2010, where shapes of varying sizes are arranged into elegant patterns. My work provides a unique, signature look and thrives equally well in public sites or private spaces. CONTACT ME: Commissions accepted. Let me know how I can help at info@studiolejeune.com. MORE INFORMATION: My work contains a digital component. I believe the development of digital work as fine art media is exciting and exploring various types of digital media continues to be meaningful to me. The present day is an exciting time for digital art, similar to the time when traditional photography was new and was not yet well understood as a fine art medium. I work with several types of digital media and my Flight series work are experiments with particle effect drawing, I juxtapose the digital drawings with paint, and brushstrokes add to the texture of the work.
