CRISPR (gene splicing technique) informs this piece. The work is 4 flat large paintings, sliced into component pieces, that can be edited into many 3D forms to explore a spectrum of ideas (migration, the anthropocene, the digital era, genetic engineering, decentralization). This large work can be an array (pictured), vortex, mound, virus. The work is to have new stages made around the world added to it as an ever-growing meta/mega sculpture -- nomadic, decentralized, ephemeral. First stage done during a residency at the Banff Centre.
