About The Artwork
This ceramic series is an alien synthesis of hollow, organic, wriggling primitive figures, which honestly represent the profile of energy I felt and observed in modern ruins. Different types of pipes in modern ruins are the archetype of this series because they symbolise the resource of life in a building, and literately embody trace of power in a space. For me, the ruin is dynamic, wriggling with silent pulsation, and is gradually assimilated by natural and human movement. This perception presupposes that the ruin itself is a gathering of beings, like a surging crowd of worms - They move, breath, fluctuate randomly, follow its inner force and respond to outside stimuli spontaneously. 21 pieces totally.
