Flutter Installation

This installation artwork is made up of 60 handmade ceramic butterflies. Each piece is hand crafted from pure white English porcelain, and fired to extremely high temperatures, vitrifying the clay. Every butterfly has a delicate lace texture created in the surface, making each one unique. The wings will cast shadows that change as the light changes throughout the day, giving them a life of their own. They can be arranged as pictured in a square or in many different ways to suit your space, making it interesting work for tricky spaces. Each butterfly can be easily attached to your wall using a suitable small single flat headed nail or screw (not provided).
