About The Artwork

I used the hand written text on the back of the photos which read, “ Headquarters where I worked, “ and “ Commissory~Bank of Eatons,” as a concept for a hermetic cabinet like piece framed in clinical blue daylight. I found this pick lost in my alley left for dead. Intrinsically I felt that I could give it a second life. It wasn’t until a few years later that I found the perfect fit for it in my “Kinetics Collection.” In this piece, “Headquarters,” the pick pulsates up and down in an almost hypnotizing slow motion, the sound of the motor is soothing and like a clock ticking or faint birds. Found object: Fender guitar pick, porcelain flush mount lamp, blue incandescent light bulb, vintage photos Hand-crafted Western Red Cedar Frame and ready to hang. AC powered Telechron motor with organic oscillation and sound-field. Optional; plug in for enhanced atmospheric effect (kinetic, light and sound)
