About The Artwork

This piece is from a collaborative series, Midnight House, which investigates how poetry and photography both focus on fixing a particular moment in time. When I read my friend Kate Macko's poetry I instantly felt a connection to her words. We chose to use neon to invoke a sense of familiarity, drawing the viewer in, as they are "public" and in our collective imagination.
