Sebastien Nedjar was born in Paris, France in 1977. The self-thought sculpture and installation artist studied at Corvisart School of Graphic Arts in Paris, where his artistic endeavour begun. His work covers a wide range of skills and disciplines having worked in fashion, graphics and design. In his works, Nedjar explores the connection between the artist and the material, painting and sculpture, object and environment. His artistic practice espouses aestheticism and symbolism; often contrasted by use of traditional and modern methods or delicate, elegant materials with those cheap and industrial. His work has been reviewed in Artpresta Magazine and will be shown for the first time in France to the Grand Palais in Paris during the “Art in Capital” 2013 exhibition; he's going to be programmed to the Palais the Tokyo in March 2015, and wins some acknowledgement from the Saatchi Gallery in London that will select him to appear on their screens twice. He lives and works between Paris and London.
