About The Artwork
"Lightplay 2|" 2017: this is a specific portrait of Nico - a German singer, composer, songwriter, poet, fashion model and actress. The legendary woman has collaborated with the American rock band The Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol. The portrait is executed in a strange underground technique, which is a kind of breath of our time. This is the influence of street art and ghetto culture ... The portrait is executed in mixed media, the basis of the work is thin light wooden planks. also used acrylic fluorescent paints, markers, oil paints and spray. A portrait is like an easy game, bright and positive! This work was created in the legendary Midi Free studio.

Dmytro Kurovskiy was born in 1971, in Chernihiv, Ukraine. He began his artist career back in the beginning of 1990’s by taking part in concerts and exhibitions. Since 1991, he is a leader of Foa Hoka musical band. http://foahoka.com Kurovskiy works with neo-pop/psychedelic art. He enjoys experimenting with new techniques that combine art, music and abstract design. His works (graphic works, collages and design objects) are in private collections in Ukraine, Spain, Russia, Germany and the United States
