This work was inspired by a meditation, and the composition is divided into three sections, representing three periods of a woman´s life. It is listed as an "installation" because it uses 4 canvases to create actual depth while also using painting techniques and collage to make the illusion of three-dimensional space. The lake is created by reversing one stretched canvas submerging it within another. Some images from guided meditation include fish, the willow tree, steps, the mirror, doors and windows. Time seems to progress like some languages, from right to left. It is the night of a full moon, but the house opens it's door onto another place. Is it only a dream of what could be? A woman steps out into a time of books and dreams, where nothing is certain. It is a surreal world where realism and two-dimensional reality play side by side in three-dimensional places. Different epochs coexist. Different techniques are superimposed: painting, sewing, embedding, gluing and constructing. This was my constructed reality of 2011. It is meant to be hung unframed

Israel
Art is a passion, which I steadfastly develop in my own way, getting inspiration from fragments of poetry, photographs or stories, rather than from drawings or paintings of other artists. Dr. Dalia Hakker-Orion, curator of my solo exhibition in Tel Aviv wrote: “She doesn’t paint according to instructions or styles, but evolves at her own pace, creating original paintings manifesting passages connecting different realities.” My story stretches from my childhood home in Southern California to the Sea of Galilee in Israel. My dual citizenship has strongly influenced my perspectives. From multiple traditions, art emerges as the visual expression of movement and multi-layered ideas. I am currently working with encaustic paint that I make in my studio. My work incorporates a variety of materials: oil, acrylic, pastel, pencil sketches, and found objects.
