MYSTERY OF LIFE Installation

This installation is a special effort of my artist career which offered me recognition like the ‘Best Installation Artist in India’ from Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation, Mumbai in 2016.The title of the Installation is ‘Mystery of Life’ consists of more than hundred small round shape houses made of Stainless steel which apparently look like a round ball.... Art Installation always site specific. Therefore, this installation also has its specific space which is a garden. The concept which came in mind while working on this installation was habitat, because this work is situated within its ideological explanation and its topographical settings. So ultimately I have tried to juxtapose a number of concepts to portray my idea in an abstract format. The actual period of this installation takes around six months including its ideation, conceptualisation and practical execution. The foremost aspect of an installation is the 1) scale and construction 2) actual space and 3) light, in their elemental magnificence and the element of 4) illusion to magnify the magnificence. 1) Scale, space and sizes that loom large in my art works come in here too as three dimensional entities. 2) Actual space acquires a photo-real importance. 3) Reflection is the only element that accentuates light. These are there too in almost every art works I have created! 4) And finally the illusion of my ‘self’ tiny and doing various things inside the image space.
