ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This dress signifies all the things that I would not feel comfortable wearing. The dress is red, form fitting, and strapless. Thought it would be fun to try to imagine myself actually Standing Out. This piece is part of my sculptural dress series and is one of a kind, the images are my photographs printed on transparency hand-stitched to wire with the multicolored threads hanging freely and almost making an addition layer.

Inspired by close observations of her surroundings, she has sculpted the reformatted shape of animals, insects and dresses with delicate hand-stitching and free hanging strings. She also expresses her imagery in textile, cultures, travel and architecture often with repeated patterns and irregular shapes.
