About The Artwork

dim. 142 x 142cm The Superslide (Megaslide) is the process of enlarging a small plastic slide. It 'made-layer of wood glue, sand, suggesting the rough side of megaslide painted with the diluent in multiple layer, before and behind white dark gray, with a perfect technical implementation, to suggest the texture of the slide /object and source of inspiration. The difference is that the bowels, the superslide does not contain a photograph /memory, but my work. This will suggest the idea of stopping time and immortaized my work. On the "frame" of wood on the left, I wrote, again through the canvas silkscreen, suggesting the digital writing: my name, the date and number dell'opera. The size outdoors is 142 x 142 cm, and the inner one is of 71 x 100 cm. In the case of Superslide'91 30, my work, "frozen in time" is represented by a painting silkscreen in 30 colors (is not a multiple, but a single piece), hand-printed using the direct method, on cardboard and glued on wooden board. Is represented by a painting on silk-screen technique, suggesting a large retail element abstract "Light / Dark". The intention is to stop in time a bit of light / shadow, both because of its plastic beauty as well as its importance in the painting that went through the history of art. My work reflects a passage that corresponds to a crossing space-time. With the architectural project and the technical collaboration of Dr. Achitetto Pietro Bagli Pennacchiotti. I created two installations Superslides composed by: 5 large seperslides (142x142 cm) and 10 small superslides (71x71), participating in exhibitions in museums and private galleries: solo exhibition "Metamorphosis paths" at the Museum MAGGI'900 (Bologna), international exhibition ARTAE, in the deconsecrated Church St. Carpoforo in Milan, Palazzo degli Alessandri in Viterbo, Yanika Gallery in Rome etc. I won the "Silver Plaque" at the International Festival of Contemporary Art at the Diocesan Museum of Sulmona (Abruzzo) for the Superslide '91 29. Starting from the figurative, I realized the two-dimensional works in which the subject was the human body and animals, studied from both 'external from' internal, built, cut, destroyed and rebuilt in a different form allusive and informal. Continuing on the path of my metamorphosis, some details of the "anatomical tables" are magnified as the microscope, looking more and more expansion and definition of objects and space: the Megaslide and Megabox. The "Superslides" (Megabox) are part of the theme of metamorphosis, the theme of the entire course of my work to date. They represent for me a good time when the idea happily embraces a support material that gathers all my practical skills (drawing, painting, lithography, screen printing, photography, engraving on wood, linoleum, metal, glass, plexiglas and experiences sculptural and craft) to make a team work together with the architect, the blacksmith and carpenter. The megaobject does not reproduce reality. After processing the material and ideal follow the poetic moment, metamorphosis becomes a metaphor, For my work has always been important, as well as the time of the discovery of thought, then, of the idea, including technical support properly and securely made. This ambivalence which opens the way of experimentation has always helped me to choose the most rigorous form to express my message.
