About The Artwork

The Fortune Teller. The Installation of a major feature in the Merzbau. At a massive 40 inches by 58 inches this part is almost at completion opening up space for more work. The ground is an underpainting of Da Vinci 'Mona Lisa'. The subject is compiled from Honey Honey images and many other objects. It is the culmination of many years of researching Occult Philosophy which started with a copy of Richard Cavendish 'Black Arts' I acquired when I was fourteen. (Unfortunately my parents threw it on the fire when I was taking a bath,) Depending on your state of conciousness and other factors will determine what you see. I leave it to you for discussion and interpretation. Enjoy. Greg

I create using old, found and interesting things. I follow all the art I can but I like to create as opposed to copying others. I've studied in Art, Linguistics, history English on a Humanities degree course then Art and Design. I Study litter and it's effects on the Environment. My College installation was made almost entirely from litter on the beach, including an eight foot bleached barkless tree I also made an installation in Grizedale forest made entirely of books. A lot of critics associated this with Farenheit 451, but missed the real point which was disappearing landscape. I did set fire to @Mr. Bookman' and the grave plot I had constructed to further my point.
