The Performance of 'Redundancy' Installation

In ruins, materials are capable of cultivating and reforming themselves. That means there is no residue being wasted in this generating circulation. Anything emerges for a reason even if it could be disguised by meaninglessness and unpleasant appearance. They are fractal compressing the whole essence of material world, which can be infinitely enlarged or assembled to any extend. In my installation, I chose the same attitude to treat any residue generated from making process. In 'Erosive Moment' series, the residue of black plaster turned into the new material of presenting the movement of invisible power, aptly enhancing the erosive and musty atmosphere in the internal exhibition. Similarly, I collected irregular and broken iron fragments from cutting process when making the series 'My Torture Skin', and attempted to transform them into another type of texture in my installation. These residue offers different usage and perspective towards one material in order to manifest the maximum flexibility of materiality.
