The Touch Installation

`The Touch` is a part of The 'Tactile Textile' project. It`s a reflection on the topic of tactility. At the pandemic time this topic was on the border zone between desire and security. Today's realities dictate us the rules of society behavior which in different ways limit simple human needs. Personal space acquires more sacred features. And an intimacy as social phenomenon receives more `taboo` form. Under a such circumstances human habits are transformed, but there is still stay an yearning for banal hugs. Textile as the main artistic material is chosen not accidentally. It is customary to touch and feel fabric before use.This ritual resonates with the theme of touch. An artistic technic of the project is also an important nuance. Fishing line under tension creates a three-dimensional effect highlighting relief of the composition. This method is called to dip the viewer in an atmosphere of softness, to express a feeling of warm and secure.
