The passing wave Installation

The Passing Wave was a commission made for Clyde&Co London in 2014. It was commissioned for an 18m corridor in their London building, and will be ending it's time there in the space this August. Sponsored by Direct Adhesives. Installation of 50,000 hot melt glue sticks. The Passing Wave uses the translucent properties of each glue stick to capture and reflect light through the corridor, in a wave mimicking movements that occupy the space. The active work is constantly responsive to both light and temperature conditions, as the glue melts and warps the relief in reaction to heat in the space.
