Time Capsule V Installation

Each year human activity releases about thirty-five billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Approximately a quarter of this is absorbed by the oceans, a quarter by trees and other plants and the remaining half stay in the atmosphere. I am an environmental artist working in this field for more than 40 years and has exhibited my photographs, sculptures and installations, both in Europe and in the United States. Here, I bring you my Time Capsules to document some of the causes and effect of pollution. I believe that the sustainability of our planet is an urgent matter and I hope my work adds to the growing recognition of the empirical evidence on the massive loss of trees in the rainforest and our fragile ecosystem.
