I wanted to make something like a volume that would be at once inside and outside the canvas. Like an object in between two spaces, the space of physical reality and the two dimensional space of the canvas but as an illusion of a three dimensional object. I had a pyramid/sculpture made of perspex. I placed it on the canvas, and imagined it's other parts inside the white space. And painted it. The result is that seeing it from different angles, and with different light, the illusions of space and volumes and the shadows are in constant change, thus challenging the viewer's perspective.
