ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work appears as an appeal "Save the Amazon", "Save our original peoples". So I created an aerial view of an imaginary river devastated. Around the river I placed the headdress of the Wajuru Village, which I received as a gift when I visited them, and another hair ornament on the bed of the river covered with sludge. An appeal to stop the invasions and destruction of National Parks for environmental preservation. I looked for a tense aesthetic in the knots and appliqués, but at the same time with the softness of the colors of the souls.
