ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My vision for this artwork was to create a multicoloured piece using quilling techniques. I wanted to make a creation where you can get lost, following the colours and at the same time enjoy the colour movements within the circles. I planned use the colours in a certain order, adding different colours that complement the existing ones. In each row I repeat a colour pattern and change the colour profile for the next row. Each circle follows the same colours and the colours change from inner to outer ring. To me, circles represent a cycle. This could be a cycle of human life, earth or our universe and every single part our lives. It amuses me how our lives integrate from one thing to another and can be perceived to have very different aspects. This is an artwork published in Artist Talk Magazine Issue 21. Artwork dimensions are 26X26X1cm White card board size is approximately 50X50cm. Size with black frame is around 53X53X5cm

I am a paper artist who is based in Kent, England producing hand cut and shaped unique designs. I was born Izmir, Turkey and had lived there since 2015. I discovered paper art and especially quilling in 2019 and my style has evolved since then. I like to create pieces using vibrant colours of the rainbow and other shades of colour to create patterns. Using geometrical shapes and multiple colours, my artwork differs from other quilling artists. I like designing 3D patterns and giving my designs some texture so viewers can discover other levels while they observe my pieces. After the initial design concept is drawn up the majority of my designs take several hours to become reality as it involves several steps such as cutting paper strips, shaping and assembling. Each design of mine is truly unique and created by hand in limited editions. Each piece comes with a signed certificate of authentication.
