About The Artwork

For those moments when it feels like everything’s coming together. All the best thoughts, ideas. things, ourselves. Even if it’s just in our minds. Let's let this remind us of the possibility of that kind of euphoric/metaphoric one-ness. The Color Cloud series is an exploration of the visceral experience of color - I’m always pursuing that feeling of being submerged and surrounded by the lush, comforting, energizing vibe color can create. DETAILS: Printed with pigment inks on thick, 100% cotton fine art paper. The work is archival, made with care, and made to last. There is a 1.5-2” white border around the image. Work is sold signed and unframed. Free shipping and handling. Artwork ships in a sturdy mailing tube within 5-7 business days after I receive your order. Each piece comes with its own signed certificate of authenticity.

I’m Jess, an artist living and working in Portland, Oregon. My work is about the way that beautiful images can disrupt and change our habitual ways of thinking and looking — and ultimately change us. My work is very intuitive. It’s informed and inspired by color sensation, minimalism, and experiential “light and space” art movements. I work on each image until I feel everything click into place: that feeling of “rightness” tells me the work is done. I work in series — like chapters in a book or verses in a song. Each one feels like it’s part of a whole that’s always growing and surprising me. My hope is that each piece serves as an invitation, a portal, a totem: a way of getting more deeply attuned to who you are and who you can become. I create my work digitally on a touchscreen with my fingers. The digital techniques I've been developing for a few years are a hybrid of painting, screenprinting and collage. I then print the images using pigment ink on thick,100% cotton fine art paper. Each of my prints is an original work, not a reproduction. The completed prints are completely archival. I’m proud to say my work is up on the walls of collectors in New York, L.A., London, Paris and everywhere in between. Hope you enjoy your time here — and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or just want to connect!
