This African proverb slanted through my thoughts when l want to create the afro-feminist series "Until the lion can tell her own stories, every tale will glorify the hunter" Based on Caitlin Moran's research western culture consider women who talks 25% of the time or less in a mixed gender group as "equally balanced and those who take 25% - 50% of the time as "dominating the conversation" Where does that leave women from African or African descent whose culture might not expect them to talk at all? I create this series to talk and address the conditions and needs of continental African women. "Eye crack ll" bring awareness to domestic violence, demanding freedom form sex- gender based violence. "Feminine requisite" reflects on the character of womanhood. What is our expectations as a woman in absence of male leadership? Womanhood is demonstrated through her ability to care for her home. "Revolution is women" depict the empowerment of women which is the most effective and relevant tool for development. When you empower a woman, you empower a nation
