About The Artwork

House Proyecto follows a home construction project over the summer. The construction crew builds an addition on the front of the house while the family carries on their routines at the back of the house. The piece explores the rituals of work and the awkward relationship between the family and the crew. The piece raises issues of race, class, culture and boundaries between immigrants and the broader community.
