The title of this work is explained by the attitude of the Vestal Virgin who turns her back on the spectator in a movement which indicates departure. A definitive departure: the woman made invisible by her outfit will soon be invisible because she will no longer be there, she will have gone to somewhere else that she hopes will be more favorable. The title also refers to the eponymous piece by the experimental music group Einstuerzende Neubauten where we can hear: Für die Hoffnung und für mich Ich gehe jetzt Das Biest ist zwar noch nicht richtig wach This painting is a unique piece made in mixed technique on canvas. It combines digital art, photography and acrylic painting through the creation of numerous layers of glaze as well as relief squares tinted with turquoise blue pigment. The work is framed in black (total dimensions: approximately 126 x 66 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 80 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
