"L'identité dans l'arbre 9" (meaning Identity within the Tree) is part of a series of small formats that draw an analogy between the tree and the human being. Like the tree, humans stand with a verticality that connects the earth to the sky, with roots symbolizing our deep anchors and origins, while the branches stretch towards the unknown, towards elevation. The tree embodies this quest for growth, for connection to oneself and the world around, reflecting the inner journey of each individual. Its roots represent our attachments, while its branches evoke our aspirations, dreams, and spiritual expansion. In the background, a soft and enveloping light illuminates the scene, symbolizing the consciousness or inner truth that is revealed through the tree. The tree, the central element of the artwork, becomes a mirror in which each person can perceive a reflection of themselves. Its branches, roots, and foliage, with their curves and movement, echo personal growth and inner evolution. Each viewer is invited to interpret this tree as a metaphor for their own development, their personal roots, or the different facets of their identity. The depth created by the bas-relief enhances this connection, like an invitation to root oneself while gazing towards the light. The tree thus becomes a symbol of the search for self, of the passage between darkness and light, between the visible and the invisible.

Welcome to my artistic universe! My name is Tiphanie Canada, and I am a visual artist working in the southwest of France. I am passionate about creating unique bas-reliefs using string and paper, which I paint to bring invisible worlds to life. My artistic journey began at a young age when I admired my grandfather, who painted with oils. In high school, I pursued a Literature and Arts program, and I spent my Wednesday afternoons at the School of Art in Bayonne. After years of studying in different fields and living abroad in Europe, America, and Asia, I returned to what was most essential to me. In 2019, I decided to fully dedicate myself to my artistic practice, which has since been enriched by my readings and a continuous effort to connect with my intuition and grow spiritually. Each piece I create is an invitation to first contemplate the outer world, but more importantly, to reflect on the inner self. Like mirrors of my inner life, I study myself and seek to reveal the layers of the human soul, exploring the beauty of emotions. My work aims to direct attention toward the unseen—the invisible worlds. I regularly exhibit my work in the southwest of France and am always looking for new opportunities to share my art. I invite you to explore my collection and let yourself be moved by what it awakens in you. Follow me on Instagram to discover my creative process step by step and to see more of my work.
