Look Under the Light of August presents a nude female figure seemingly caught between her body and a replica of herself— a duplication that is not exactly a shadow, but rather a parallel representation. In this duplication, one feels a visual echo that speaks to how time can reflect in different versions of the same reality, capturing a moment and multiplying it, allowing light to play with the notion of existence. The title suggests a specific moment, "the light of August," a light that could symbolize the end of a cycle, the heat fading from the last days of summer, enveloping the woman's body in an atmosphere that almost defies reality. Under that light, her body not only appears once but decomposes and reproduces itself, as if moving through different temporal layers, showing us how time shapes our perception of reality. This piece seems to explore the idea that there is no single version of a person or a moment in time. Just as the body is duplicated, reality also fragments into multiple layers, each coexisting, each reflecting a different truth. Here, under that August light, what is real is distorted and decomposed, playing with the idea that each being has different reflections of themselves in time and space.

Zoe Lunar radiates and works in Mexico City, is a graduate of the national school of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda". He is an artist in constant formation, who seeks plastic, visual and sound experimentation. His work feeds on time as matter and how it helps to interpret reality, through temporal representations, of spaces that converge in their social context and how this influences the formation and interpretation of our different contemporary realities; making use of the qualities of painting and drawing to make deformations in a perceptive portrait of different moments, and personal times in a single interpretation. He is currently nurturing his plastic work especially in painting and drawing, giving him new outlets like AR in some of his new works and occasionally making music and video.
