"Boundless joy flows through me when I let the winds of my artworks dance between me and the spectator." -- Lina Linkimer I was born in Costa Rica and spent over 34 years living in Ecuador where I discovered my passion for painting. Presently, I live in Miami, Florida. I am an independent fine arts professional who has worked in the arts with determination, passion and discipline for the past 35 years. Through my multidisciplinary art, I have explored a variety of trends and techniques including oil, pastels, watercolors, inks, gouache, graphite and acrylics. Print-making (etchings, colligraphs, monotypes, aquatints) is one of my favorite techniques through which I use recycled materials to create mixed media artworks. By recycling a variety of natural materials, I have also made artisan papers of various textures and sizes that have served as the base for some of my artworks. I have successfully represented my native country in multiple international events and have received numerous honorable distinctions in Ecuador and the United States. My name is featured in the Encyclopedia "Nuevo Diccionario Critico de Artistas Plasticos del Ecuador del Siglo XX"; Wikipedia; my artworks are featured in the United States Internacional Biennale website. More recent publications include What´s Up Miami; The Miami Herald; The Spiritual Journalist Blogspot; and various gallery catalogues as Ironside Gallery; LuminArt Gallery; Nina Torres Gallery; and the IV and V Galeria de Arte Centroamericano, to name a few. My prolific work, as well as my support of art education, particularly for children and adolescents, have earned me an award recognition from the Education Ministry in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I have participated in auctions for the benefit of cultural and government Associations in Ecuador and the U.S. My artworks are part of private collections in Ecuador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Belgium, Spain, Japan, Israel and the United States of America, among others.
