To create this drawing I was ispired by the wonderful bronze sculpture of Benvenuto Cellini, "Perseus with the head of Medusa", (1545) located in Florence, Italy. I live and study in the city of Renaissance, and I look at this manierism opera every time I walk there: the bronze is warm and the body of Perseus is perfectly armonic, is possible to feel his powerful and read in the eyes of greek hero the pride killing Medusa of snakes hair, avoiding so to become petrified. In this artwork I use charcoal for the darkness and white acrilic for the lightness parts, on a lightbrown paper 70 x 50 centimeters.
