“Please Don’t Bury Me” is part of a larger portfolio, “See What I Hear”, of illustrations based on song lyrics. The song “Please Don’t Bury Me” with lyrics by John Prine is a humorous last wish about wanting to have his body parts sent to different locations instead of being buried intact. “But please don't bury me / Down in that cold, cold ground / No, I'd druther have 'em cut me up / And pass me all around / Throw my brain in a hurricane / And the blind can have my eyes / And the deaf can take both of my ears / If they don't mind the size.” The image size is 12 x 12 in. with a 2 in. boarder. His work has been included in a variety of national reviews including Communication Arts Magazine’s Illustration and Design Annuals, American Illustration Annuals, Print Magazine’s Regional Design Annuals, The Society of Illustrators Annuals.
