ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Inspired by the Bible verses: "I shall not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom." (Mt 26:29) The painting is part of my series of abstraction illustrations of the Holy Bible. The exclusive limited edition of just 3 prints of size 100x100 cm (~40x40”) is printed on archival quality, acid-free, 100% cotton paper with no optical brighteners. Pigments used in the printing process should have a color stability of more than 100 years. The print is signed and numbered on the front inside of the print border on the image itself. Smaller 40x40 framed prints are also available.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Due in no small part to my academic training my abstract paintings are mostly inspired by the Bible and biblical theology. The paintings are created on a computer using graphic vector software. However, nothing is generated automatically as I refuse to make use of any but the most basic of drawing tools within the software, preferring that every shape is painstakingly drawn by hand, which of course means it can take many days to complete a single work. There is always some symbolism and mathematics behind every one of my images. The paintings themselves are made using a method that I invented and are the result of the blending of at least seven similar (or dissimilar) images. Art, I believe, is all about seeing something uncommon in a common world, and then trying to share the art and its artistic ideas and visions with a public audience. Therefore, if an artist is really able to see something that others do not see and then have the ability to share that through their art, then it is possible that anyone may see even more than the artist himself/herself – this is real art, and on that basis a true artist is not necessarily the one who understands their art better than anybody else. I don’t provide explanations or a rationale for my paintings, as in my opinion, the goal of abstract art is to allow an audience to understand and appreciate paintings without the need for detailed explanations from the artist. However, to provide the reader with some background - in the case of my abstract paintings, I try to see something uncommon in well-known biblical texts but believe my paintings also have something to say about the real world.
