ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This series of digital paintings is an offshoot of Tom's mixed media paintings, therefore sharing the same principles and aims. The advantage of working digitally allows works to be made more frequently, quickly and with more flexibility and freedom for editing. The heightened sense freedom when working digitally comes from the eco friendly aspect of producing the images. Materials aren't wasted or used as they are in physical painting, therefore creatively this means there is less pressure allowing for greater focus and calculated expression.
