About The Artwork
I am drawn to bold colors and images to describe feelings that are hard to explain. For example, we use "switching on and off" as a coping mechanism to manage difficult emotions or situations to avoid feeling overwhelmed or emotionally drained. When one struggles with social anxiety wearing a costume and "switching on" to the world can be a way to feel more comfortable interacting with others and "playing a role." The 9" x 12" painting is framed in a Purple Nielsen Metal Picture Frame of Dimensions 14 3/4" x 17 3/4" with a crescent select super white mat board, in archival mounting board and acrylic glass.
