ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The world city Istanbul affects me deeply. You can feel its historical past in almost every street. The unique beauty of the Bosphorus and the hundreds of ships passing through here every day also contribute to the visuality of the city. These ships passing through the Bosphorus every day inspired my work. I used a technique in which photography and engraving are intertwined, by giving the effect of engraving with digital means. My aim in this is to make a reference to the historical past and present of the city.

I met Photography in 1984. I did photo shoots with a microscope. After I discovered that photography is also an art language, I worked in this field. In addition to the uninterrupted photographs, I took mostly edited designed photographs. New media studies involving the combination of photography and painting attract my attention.
