Born 1973.Fine artist finnish/english nationality Zoe Explores the perennial conflict between the individual as a member of society and the individual as a unique being. Her works identify and represent an elemental binary: the desire to protect the fragile self from contamination by contemporary consumerist culture, and the need to disguise and protect the fragile self and its exclusive experiences from others, i.e. identity theft. This fragility of the self and its refusal to be cloned reflects the absolute authority and the inherent inner strength of the individual. To create a complex visual narrative that examines the theme of repetition and the fragility of the self.
