About The Artwork
This striking graphic begins life as a digital photograph of a landscape. The file is corrupted by deliberately overheating the laptop. The image is incorporated into my Faux Poster series as part of a fantasy exhibit at Maxxi in Rome. I love this image because there is a method to it, an algorithm. Theoretically, the landscape can be restored from the data in the patterns.

I was an advertising still life photographer in NYC in the early 90s. I moved to Los Angeles, earned an MFA from USC in screenwriting, and embarked on a writing career. I've worked for a major network TV show and sold scripts to the studios. I began making photographs again a few years ago, strictly for myself -- personal work. I'd like to share it now.
