About The Artwork

Open Edition Print Year: 2021 Medium: Digital Art, Giclée Print Material: HahnemühlePhoto Rag Metallic 340gsm, Epson UltraChrome® HDX Picture Layout: Portrait *Artist's Comments "Birthstone Series" represents 12 birthstones of the year for your shining birthday. Garnet for January, Amethyst for February, Aqua Marine for March, Diamond for April, Emerald for May, Pearl for June, Ruby for July, Peridot for August, Sapphire for September, Opal for October, Topaz for November, and Turquoise for December. This series is inspired by the peacocks walking around the ancient castles. They act as the true owner of the place based on the freedom from avarice. Their elegant manner shines like various jewels. I believe you could also gleam even without the jewels with the right attitude. I would like to present you the sparkling light of happiness from the colourful peacocks on your birthday. I recommend printing it on Photo Papers to make the artwork shine. Actual colours may vary from the colours shown on your monitor.

Instagram: @sungheekim_arts MD: https://marpple.shop/en/sungheekim Rental: https://www.opengallery.co.kr/artist/A1262/ I am a mother of 4 children and a dog, who started my art career to make myself and people around the world happy. Art is an expression of my everyday life, confirmation of the things I value, and a way to be myself. To do so, I try to understand agony and joy for them to be reinterpreted through nature. Trees, flowers, and birds are the biggest inspiration to my works as well as a comfortable chair which always suggests me a place to think. My childhood living in three different countries; South Korea, Japan, and the U.K., affected my artworks and made me more open-minded in my approaches. I use various materials in mixture. Pastels, pens, crayons, acrylic paints, and watercolours are frequently being used in my drawings and paintings on paper or canvas. Unique tools like cotton buds, toothpicks often catch my mind as well. Adapting new technologies is as important as experimenting with diverse methods. Drawings are digitally transformed to be explored in another dimension, which is usually printed on different surfaces such as archival papers, canvas, carpet, linen, and more. I also add a final touch for my digital paintings. I have been selling art merchandises designed with my artwork, and have participated in several collaborations with different companies worldwide. My artworks make me happy. I very much hope you could find your own light of happiness through my artworks. Let us make the world a better place with Arts!
