About The Artwork

Inspired by the great artist Claude Monet and his impressionism, I have created impressionistic paintings by using my photographs and digital brushes, emphasizing texture and color at the expense of detail. The colors and details are removed from the picture and later added at will in tune with my imagination resulting in the creation of a painting in the style of Monet. My works always have the elements of composition, balance, rhythm and unity elevating an otherwise ordinary subject into a piece of art fascinating one to see it again and again and experience the ethereal beauty. The refined aesthetics manifested in my work are born of my very long experience in photography and art and is a fine blend of art and technique based on perception, assimilation and understanding. This is Original Art Work on canvas using archival quality materials and is stretched and coated with UV protective layer. It is signed in pencil by the artist on its back and has Certificate of Authenticity.

Prabhakar Kusuma, a native of Warangal and who has been based at Hyderabad since 1995, took up photography in 1978. The refined aesthetics manifested in his works are born of his very long experience in the art and science of photography. He is open to current trends and styles and is adept at unorthodox use of the medium. In spite of numerous technical advances in photography, he firmly believed that, "Photography is more human, intuitive and less mechanical" and continued his endeavour in the pursuit of excellence in photography. By and by he took interest in painting and studied the European artists, particularly Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh and Picasso. Taking inspiration from them, he is using a far more intangible medium of photography and digital brushes in redefining the lines, simplifying the tones, altering colours, redrawing the shapes and rearranging the elements of his pictures to recreate his works in tune with his imagination. This kind of unorthodox style is making his work unique to stand alone as the work of an artist.
