About The Artwork

From time to time, the overlapping layers of paint begin to weigh and collapse. The shells, which bring years of history, are unique and multicoloured. My prying eyes did not let these details pass. Fascinated by the diversity, culture, and history of the city where I've lived since 2011 and attracted by colors and textures, I began to photograph these small pieces of wall that are no longer. I use the photos of the Berlin wall splinters as background for my drawings. I make cuts and digital collages contrasting the brutality of the concept that the wall transmits, the infinite colors, the feminine power and the delicacy of the love in my own way. I hate the Berlin Wall for all it represents in history, for the suffering it inflicted on so many people, for the deaths, for ignorance, for brutality and arrogance. But I love the bits of it, so colorful, so inspiring, so delicate. Berlin does that to me. And I think it’s great. Take a look at the result.
