About The Artwork
Back in elementary school the teacher was quizzing our class on division. She asked "What is 4 divided by 2?" Everyone knew it was two. Then she said, "What is 2 divided 1?" All the kids raised their hands. Again the class knew the answer was two. There was a moment of silence and then she said "What is 2 divided by zero?" Nobody answered. She explained and proved on the blackboard that the answer was infinity for any number divided by zero. I once asked the world famous author Dr. Isaac Asimov if he had trouble imagining infinity, and he answered that he had spent his whole life trying to wrap his brain around the concept. In this work of art infinity is represented by a whirlpool and rational thought by the architecture that surrounds it. Is the human brain wired for infinity? I think not.

I was born into a family filled with actors, artists, composers, conductors, and soloist musicians, which I can trace back to 1835. I studied musicology and conducting yet I wound up as a writer, producer and director in film and television. I worked for Dick Clark Productions, The Johnny (Carson) Company and Paramount Pictures. In 1987 I set off on my own and produced a series of documentaries in association with such diverse organizations as NASA, the AMA and the National Football League. I retired from Show Business in 2007 and have spent the last 12 years creating works of art.
