Mixed Media, Fractal on Aluminium
Size: 60 W x 45 H x 0.5 D in
Ships in a Box
Down the Rabbit Hole is a semi-randomly generated copper patina colored abstract flame style fractal. The artwork was created using multiple mutations of a single flame fractal. The base image was mutated 6 times into separate "flames". Each rendered flame was then ported into Photoshop where it was overlayed over the others to create the illusion of a puff of white smoke being sucked down a hole in stacked copper plates. The background was created using multiple digital overlays, the original base fractal and digital painting techniques. This 60" W x 45" H limited edition artwork will be printed on a floating panel with a 1/2" riser.

aGeekonaBike Photography™ is the pseudonym of Dale Mitchell. Dale is an avid bike tourer, professionally trained photographer and artist, who wanders around the world on a decade+ old Trek 540. Always carrying a camera on his bike, Dale is never afraid to ride off the beaten path or become temporarily lost to get that once in a life time photo. Dale has received both formal and informal training in urban photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, glass blowing and technical illustrations from such American artists as Dave Davis (photography), Paul Pletka (oils, lithography, watercolors), Michael Atkinson (watercolors) and Burgess Roye (pastels, acrylics). The pieces on available in this gallery are select samples of his ability to reimagine his photography skills into beautiful works of digital art. Many pieces originated as photos, some were taken around the world. Dale used past painting training to digitally “repaint” the photos using a variety of software.
