(Face, mini DV, variable dimensions, no sound, 2:05 min, 2010) / loop view installation In the video ‘Face’ the artist use the image of her own face as a surface to create a hybridise creature - which has no specific existential status and is on the verge of being human. The direct look to the camera wishes to create an intimate moment with the viewer, seducing him to share a persistent emotion of an inner and global scream. The image provide a dialogue with the history of symbol of masks in human civilisation. From the ancient African masks that were used in religious ritual, through the lather mask used in sexually oriented acts (Known as s/m) to the more political Gas mask used in Israel as part of "mask to every person" define policy. The mask is the playground of many fears and desires deeply embedded in our society. It covers the "real" and offer falls surface on which myths and stories can develop. The work was presented for the first time as part of the artist solo exhibition 'Panic Attack' and took part in various group exhibitions in Germany, Holand and Israel.
