About The Artwork

The focus of this motive is a human figure revealed in a specific manner. By applying certain textures, converting body into a stone or a tree, the identity of those figures becomes enigmatic. Associating recognizable motifs, to which we can all react and which surround the figure in this picture (such as the cage from which the birds fly, the globe, the trees or the door with mesmerising light) the symbolic setting of things works naturally, but the symbols always have the potential dynamic reading, by tracking personal associative strings. A line that additionally gathers these elements is an attempt to turn ideas that reside in the domain of the spiritual into a visual spatial order. In a completely cleaned and reduced space, which acts infinitely, divided horizontally into two basic coordinate levels - a flat cracked earth and a heavenly vault filled with potentially dramatic relations of gray clouds and bright blue blossoms - are above mentioned 'symbols', which add their universal and timeless character. The globe that stands in the foreground of the painting, in addition to being the usual representation of the world, is also a determinant that talks about nature, or about the relation of nature to man, and vice versa, about the sustainability of the natural and ephemeral nature of the human world. It gave me the idea to insert myself as a researcher who constantly wants to explore what is out there, but never go in and enter that doors and feel it. About The idea of freedom speaks petrified figure in the foreground and the open cage from which the birds escape. The bird itself speaks about freedom, about escape towards nature - nature and spirit, while the humanoid statue remains cold about that and it is not clear to her why the bird wantes freedom. In this context, the relation of the human world to the natural is seen as a relationship based on conformism and pragmaticity, which are rarely ready to communicate with surrounding things if that does not serve useful goal. The medium for this work is completely Digital and printed on canvas with the inner frame approximately 1.5cm thick. The work was created using: Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw.
