Italicize "Microcosmos" and "outsight":
Minimize the self. Take away the body, take away experience, take away time. What is this self? It is a cosmic abstraction, it is existence without experience, space without time, content without form. In Microcosmos I present a series of images that are cosmic and psychedelic in nature, images that express what I call “parallel consciousness”. This notion of “parallel consciousness” is similar to what in Hindu we call “jiva”, the compressed soul. What is here? The soul. What is this Bhoomesh? My soul. Who is in this soul? My jiva. Or better yet, it is the jiva’s I.
If I were a photographer I might offer you a series of photographic self-portraits. Here instead I offer a series of portraits of jiva’s I, an inside-outside I am calling parallel consciousness. These images seem fantastical – like hallucinatory outer-space or other-space images – because for any other, I am in fact a fantasy. If I didn’t exist, you would have to invent me. Even then, this invention can only happen as a flash, not a flash of insight but of outsight.
Microcosmos is a path between two consciousnesses: it can't be expressed in words because, like quantum physics, it is beyond common sense. These images come from a parallel consciousness and take a journey the opposite way in time, leaving something hidden, a kind of archaeology of future. While I am not by training a digital artist, I started using digital sound and painting because illusions of light and resonance are the best medium for this opposite journey.
