The Magic Bug is a symbol of love, compassion, gratitude… All that is positive. It conveys a feeling of joy and happiness. Good times! The Magic Bug is designed as a viral molecule. If you catch the bug, you’re infected with symptoms of happiness. Vibrant colors were chosen to identify with that mood along with a pop art aesthetic. Each Magic Bug molecule represents an individual. No two bugs are alike in any composition, although twins have been known to exist. When comprised in groups you’ll notice the similarities, yet obvious differences in color scheme. When composed in an abstract manner, the Magic Bugs create a sense of movement. It conveys the concept of coming together, unity. The design can look somewhat melodic and organized. Or in contrast, complete mayhem and chaos. A community of Magic Bugs are all the same, yet each are uniquely different from one another. We are all interconnected and comprised in groups. It may as well be under happy circumstances. The "Groovy Guy" series was inspired by Keith Haring’s popular dancing figures. Here, the Magic Bug has infected the Groovy Guy. Layers of bugs are within the figure compliment the sense of playful movement. He’s dancing, embracing life and keepin it real.
