About The Artwork

Top bottom. How is this relative. When we define our boundaries, they disappear. This work is dedicated to the fact that by defining something, by building boundaries, we limit ourselves to movement. And during this period, the construction of our world, the ordering of chaos, the structuring of space. Time passes. The experience gained during the period of construction, structurization, germinates in us and we again begin to feel the need for novelty, which means for chaos. Change the top to the bottom. And we continue to live on, but already at the new stage of the spiral of our development, improvement, of our life.

Vectors Alma-Ata is my reference point in the vast of space; it is the start of my vector of life. I was born here. Chronologically this was the summer of 1966, June 3rd. I was given the gift of life and brought up by my parents: my father – Vassily Veselov and my mother Larissa Veselova (maiden name Shuparskaya). Me and my sister enjoyed an amazing childhood with family relations and values of a uniquely high standard; such values as parents' respect for one another and parents' respect for children regardless of their age. The respect and freedom of choice and decision making present in this family of young scientists have led to substantial scientific achievements of my parents and sister. My father is a doctor of technical sciences, professor and academician of Kazakhstan's National Academy of Sciences, director of the Institute of Hydrogeology and Hydrophysics. My mother is a candidate of geographical sciences, professor, and head of chair at the Al Farabi Kazakh National University. My sister is a candidate of biological sciences, deputy director for scientific work of the Institute of Botany and Phyto-Induction Almaty Botanical Garden. I am an artist! The gold medal in school, the honors diploma of the Polytechnic University, the PhD thesis I almost finished writing but never defended – all of this is my paying homage to my scientific roots, and most importantly, my journey to growing and becoming an educated and intelligent person. The 90s: I am a junior researcher at the Space Research Institute of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Sciences. Art is a special type of energy. Letting it out is inevitable, otherwise you will turn sour on the inside. I would paint. Sometimes, I would write. My stories with illustrations were published in the “Evening Almaty”, the “Lights of Alatau” and the “Horizon” newspapers. One day, Marina Kelberg, the head of the Styx advertising agency, called into the Geoinformation system laboratory of the Space Research Institute, where we were busy creating the mathematical model for the Ili artesian basin. After having passed her drawing test, I got a new vector in my life and became a professional artist. Design and illustrations for advertising, printing, books and periodicals have become my journey in the visual decoration of our everyday life and our needs. I've been making my way on this journey working at “Dalem” LLC and “Akfa” LLC companies. My special vector is illustration.
